「生きるために必要なもの」は反対理解の第四段落に。
「文化」「遊び」のキーワードは、それぞれ第二、第三段落に、というふうにあらかじめ見通しをつけておく。
第一段落は、説明。「世の中には、余分に見えるものも多い。しかし、その余分なものによって、私たちの心は豊かになり……」など。
第二段落は、実例１。「その例の一つに、噴水がある。噴水の水は、飲むためのものでもないし、畑を潤すためのものでもない。強いて言えば、文化のための水と言ってもよいのではないだろうか。私たちは、噴水を見るときに、その経済的役割よりも、文化的役割を……」など。
第三段落は、実例２。「もう一つの例は、音楽だ。（スポーツでも、ファッションでも何でも可）……。そこに流れているものは、仕事に役立つ何かではなく、むしろ遊びの精神だ。……」など。
第四段落は、反対理解とまとめ。「確かに、生きるために必要なものは、人間社会の土台である。しかし、人間は、必要なものだけで生きているのではない。余分なものがあるということは、その余分なものを通して、相手に喜んでもらいたいという気持ちがるということだ。そういう互いの思いやりによって、人間社会は豊かになってきた。……」など。
