第一段落は、説明。「人間には、いろいろな考えがあるから発展がある。だから、他者の異なる意見は、異なる意見として認め、他者は自分とは異なるが、自分と同じ価値を持つ別の存在だと考え尊重していくことが大切だ。私は、こういう異なる他者と次のように関わっていきたい。」など。
第二段落は、方法１。「第一は、相手の意見をできるだけ理解しようと心がけることだ。生まれや環境hが異なれば、考え方が違ってくるのは当然だ。それを相手の立場に立って考えることが必要だ。以前、私たちのクラスに、外国人の転入生が来た。私はその転入生の近くの席だったのでいろいろ話をした。驚いたことは、その外国人は、豚肉は汚れているから食べないという考えをしっかり持っていた。私は……」など。
第三段落は、方法２。「他者と関わる上で第二に大切なことは、自分の意見をはっきりと述べることだ。相手との摩擦を恐れて、相手に合わせているのでは真の理解も発展も生まれない。私たちにはともすれば、争うくらいなら自分の方が譲るという考えがある。しかし、国際社会の中では……」など。
第四段落は、まとめ。「真の心の友と呼べるような他者は、相手の意見を聞き、自分の意見も述べるという努力によって生まれる。私はこれから……」など。
